CheapTickets had tickets available for all the hard-to-get major Broadway tickets we looked for, including Wicked and Jersey Boys, though they typically had fewer options than some other reviewed online ticketing sites for the same events.

CheapTickets’ average service fee at the time we reviewed was 15%. You will also be required to pay shipping, with the lowest possible rate of $15. You can also have your tickets left at the box office will call, but this costs $15 as well, so although it’s not a way to save money on shipping, it is convenient if you don’t have enough time before your event to wait for shipment.

Features:  

CheapTickets is a connection service between buyers and ticket brokers on the secondary ticket market, so isn’t directly involved with the actual ticket sale or transaction. However, one-time sellers and season ticket holders are not able to sell their tickets through CheapTickets.com. Only verified online ticket brokers are able to do so.

CheapTickets is pretty easy to use in general, but could be better. You can search for specific events by city and date or performance title. When searching, most venues provide integrated seating charts, and the listings can be sorted by price, section or row, and quantity available.

CheapTickets is part of TicketNetwork Direct and has a satisfactory rating with the Better Business Bureau. Though they aren’t directly involved with event ticket transactions, CheapTickets backs up tickets sold on their site with a 100% guarantee that all ticket orders will be filled or you will not be charged. CheapTickets only allows trusted merchants to sell through their ticket marketplace.

Help/Support:  

CheapTickets has help available online through email or by checking their help section. The FAQs section is limited, but you can seek further support on the phone at 1-877-444-7939.

CheapTickets is one of the best options available for searching and buying theater tickets on the secondary market. With a low 6.7% service charge, they do offer an inexpensive ticket solution for many popular theater shows. However, users are not able to sell their own tickets through CheapTickets.com.
