Because they are directly linked with the actual box office, the tickets are sold at face value. In fact, for many Broadway shows, even Ticketmaster redirects users to Telecharge.com. However, because most of the very popular shows sell out quickly, Telecharge may not have any tickets still available by the time you get there.

Not only are the tickets on Telecharge priced at face value, they already include the building facility fee. And rather than basing a convenience fee on ticket price, all tickets have a straightforward $7 service charge. Shipping and handling fees vary upon delivery method.  And it costs $2.50 for will call pickup.

Features:  

The greatest feature Telecharge has to offer is that you buy directly from the source, the box office. Telecharge does not currently sell gift certificates on their website, but you can purchase them over the phone (1-800-432-7250). The gift certificates are honored at most Broadway theaters, but not all.

Ease of Use:  

The Telecharge website is fairly intuitive to use, and the checkout process is straightforward and easy. While searching for the right tickets, you can choose a specific section (with accompanying price) or simply let Telecharge find the best available seats for you.

The actual seating charts aren’t integrated with the ticket listings, but can be viewed by following a link. The seating charts don’t just show the sections, they also outline each actual seat in the theater, so you can get a better idea of the size of the venue and your relative seat position. And unlike most online ticket services, because Telecharge is essentially the box office, you will know exactly which seats you are ordering before you get them.

Security:  

Telecharge is the direct source for Broadway tickets, so security is less of an issue than with third party brokers. Furthermore, the Telecharge website is McAfee secured to prevent online fraud and identity theft.

Help/Support:  

Telecharge has a pretty good help page online, answering several questions about Telecharge services, ordering and delivery. Obviously, they also have telephone support, and also offer help through email.

Telecharge is a good site for ordering theater tickets, but it is limited to Broadway shows. Telecharge ticket prices are wonderful because they are at face value, but unfortunately are often sold out for popular shows. To find premium seats to the most popular shows, you may have to look elsewhere. We definitely recommend searching this source first, but if you’re looking for Broadway shows, Telecharge is the source.
