TickCo is another source for finding theater tickets on the secondary market, but shouldn’t be your first resource. The options for buyers and sellers are somewhat limited, and the final ticket prices are typically higher than elsewhere for major theater productions.
Tickets on TickCo are obtained primarily from the general public, but TickCo will not currently buy your theater tickets from you. In some instances, TickCo will agree to sell your tickets on a consignment basis. If the tickets sell, you get the full asking price, but that asking price is determined by TickCo.
TickCo charges 10% of the ticket sale price as a service charge. Shipping is provided by FedEx and varies by speed, but can be as low as $12.50.
TickCo doesn’t allow you to print your own tickets, nor do they have gift card options. TickCo does offer a variety of theater and performance tickets, but doesn’t really have them categorized. The alphabetic listing does however have icons showing which shows are playing on Broadway and which are currently the most popular.
Users can search for specific tickets and events by city or specific venue, or narrow down your search by the date of the performance. Listings of tickets on TickCo can be sorted by section, row, quantity available, and price.
TickCo even has interactive seating charts that users can mouse over to see how many seats are available and the price ranges for various seats in each section. Some of the interactive seating charts even have overhead views, as well as a small 3D view showing the difference in height between orchestra and mezzanine seats.
TickCo is a pretty safe venue where you can purchase theater tickets online. TickCo is approved by the Better Business Bureau, is a member of the National Association of Ticket Brokers, and has a VeriSign and McAfee secured website. TickCo features a FanSecure Guarantee, which assures timely delivery, ticket authenticity, and total privacy.
The help section on TickCo is easy to use and covers a lot of material. The support ranges from answering questions about buying and selling to covering information on group sales and international orders. TickCo doesn’t offer online live chat, but does have a support phone line and email support options.
TickCo has a pretty good website and offers decent services for locating and purchasing theater tickets, but has no standout features that make it a better option than other ticketing solutions we reviewed. Check out TickCo if you want to compare prices, but don’t expect to find the lowest price or the best options. For better prices and options, see Ticketmaster, StubHub, and TicketsNow.
